Safe Kids Youth Sports Injury Prevention Colloquium at the DePuy Institute

Dear Youth Sport Coaches, Trainers, Athletic Directors, and Phys. Ed Teachers,

On Wednesday, November 4th, from 4:00 p.m. to 5:30 p.m., the Women’s Leadership Initiative at the new Johnson & Johnson DePuy Institute, LLC (325 Paramount Drive Raynham, MA), in partnership with Safe Kids USA, is hosting a colloquium on sports and child injury prevention specifically for youth sport coaches in the greater Raynham/Taunton communities. We are hoping you will join us to learn some of the latest information to keep our children active and safe during organized sports.
Did you know that 3.5 million kids need to seek medical treatment from a sports injury every year? (http://www.preventionworks-nj.org) With proper training and exercise routines, many of these injuries are preventable. We as coaches, trainers, parents must learn what we can do to reduce these injuries. 
Our agenda on November 4th will include the following:
  • Prevent Injury and Enhance Performance (PEP) Lecture/ Demonstration
  • Concussion Lecture/ Demonstration
  • Strengthening/ Conditioning & Nutrition Lecture/Demonstration
 
Please join us on November 4th for discussions with some of your area’s leading medical experts in sports injury prevention and treatment. Our guests include Dr. Brian Busconi, Chief of Sports Medicine and Arthroscopy at UMass Memorial Medical Center and Assistant Medical Director for the Boston Red Sox.
